Is motorizing worth it?
Motorized blinds make the most sense on windows you can’t reach easily: two-storey foyers, high clerestory windows, windows behind a sofa or bed, and the floor-to-ceiling glass in Toronto condos. One button closes a whole wall of glass at once.
They are also cordless, which matters in homes with young children and pets, and the schedule feature helps keep rooms cooler in summer by closing south- and west-facing shades during the hottest part of the day.
If you are building or renovating, tell us early. Hardwired motors are easiest to plan before walls are closed. For an existing home, battery motors need no electrician at all.

Can I motorize the blinds I already have?
Usually not. Most existing blinds aren’t built to take a motor, so we make new motorized shades to measure. In many cases you can keep the same look and fabric style.
Do motorized blinds need Wi-Fi?
No. A remote or wall switch works without Wi-Fi. You only need Wi-Fi and a hub if you want phone, voice or schedule control.
How long do the batteries last?
Most rechargeable motors run for several months between charges, depending on window size and how often the shade moves.
Do you install and set them up?
Yes. We measure, install, pair the remotes and set up the app and schedules, then show you how everything works.
How much do motorized blinds cost?
It depends on the number and size of windows, the fabric and the motor. The in-home consultation and quote are free, and we’ll beat a written quote for the same product.
