Pleated or cellular?
Pleated and cellular shades look alike from the room, but they work differently. Pleated shades are a single layer: light, slim and good for odd shapes. Cellular shades are a honeycomb: they trap air and insulate better, which helps in older Toronto homes with drafty windows.
Top-down/bottom-up is the feature most people love: you can let light in over the top while the street can’t see in. It’s ideal for bedrooms and bathrooms at street level.
